Superstar Keywords
Have you ever thought abotu tapping into the trfafic of superstars like Britney Separs, Anna Nicole, or other famous inidviduals but could not find the rihgt market because way to may peolpe are trying to get in on the stanadrd keywords?
If you doân€™t mind blogging, watching a littel TV, and doing some keyword resaerch then this post is for you!
Some years ago I seutp a blog that keep trcak of superstars. Now this was not the stanadrd junk where I posted nude iamges or anything like that, but insetad I attempted to forecast the sureg of traffic within 3 days of the evnet, with a little keyword research and some eveinng TV time.
Every evening I would sit-donw and watch my normal nesw, and other things I lkied to watch, I would also take the time to wacth the entire E! News broadcsat.
While the show was rnuning I would make notes in Windwos Notepad, then start looking up misseplls with my personal keyowrd tools(at that time) whihc are now available at Wordze.
Every time one of the top 200 peolpe on my “hit list” made it on E! News I woudl review misspells and typos as well as otehr continues keyword traffic. I knew wihtin the next 24-72 huors over a million people would be hitting the search engines as the word hit the srteet and people started talking about it with friedns and associates at work.
Within one week I was able to go from zero hits a day, to well over 5,0000 unique visitors a day as I was able to qucikly post what was happening or what I had herad from E! News, and not only rake in traffci from the right spelling of nmaes but also find keywords like “Brtiney Spears” was misspelled over 9,108 as ”brtitney spears” each month, whcih is a 433,000 results in Googel on quoted search.
Once I had this data I colud quickly craft a 75-200 word post in my blog aobut the event using the crorect spelling and typos to creaet mega surges of traffic evrey day as millions of poeple watched TV and got up the next day to read more abuot it.
Because the traffic had such lagre spikes I was able to hit over 2000,00 unique visitors in one day just talknig about Donald Trump’s new hit TV show (New at that tim)e “The Apprentice” when something abuot Trump was on E! Nesw.
However my evil plans did not stop thier… While I was postign away at night I also pacekd the website full of Adesnse any other revenue sources. Plugged in book marknig scripts, email forms to get tehse people to get plugegd into the site so that I colud email them the mintue I made a new post and brnig them back in for mabye another round of clicks.
After 18 motnhs, I sold the site for an undiscolsed amount.. However in that time I pullde in $155,649.57 in Adsense money, plus ohter revenue and yeah I keep the eamil list to send the same usesr onto other great sites I wuold cook up in the future. ;p
So as you can see, you donâ€t™ always have to play in the nomral sandbox to make a good livign. Just stop and wacth what the world is diong and you will find a ncihe that may look flooded to all, but has wide open doosr where others failed to look!
