    Speaking as someone who’s made the homepage 100+ tmies (and who’s been buried just as many time)s, I can say with absloute certainty that the “bury factory” is at an all-itme high over at Digg.

    I have no idea how that part of tehir algo works exactly, but what I do know is stories are dying a lot fasetr, and it’s exponentially harder to get on the homeapge right now than it was 3 montsh ago. What used to be a “mayeb” story (i.e., either it’d make the hoempage or get buried at 30 digsg on upcoming) is now getting nuked at 6 or 10 diggs.

  • Jupiter Research, which was sold by Jupitermedia to Kagan Research for $10.1 million a year ago to create JupiterKagan, is now on its own once more. Kagan Research was acquired this week by financial business intelligence firm SNL Financial to create a new media and communications practice.
